It is not so much the words I would agree with here. We cant fight an overused cliché by using one. But watch her dancing! She is doing dance moves that used to be for boys only (to all the bgirls out there: I know you can do that too. Talking about the "mainstream" here... You know I have to...) And she is amazing!!!! And that again is the form of the new feminism we need. Look for it not only in words. Look for it in dances, in paintings, look for it everywhere. It is right there.

Und wieder das Thema "Dankbarkeit"... Sollen wir dankbar sein, dass Fernseh-Journalistinnen keine Seltenheit mehr sind? Ich bin es nicht. Denn Placebos wirken nicht immer. Und wir sollten uns auch nicht mit ihnen zufrieden geben, wenn es um eine ernsthafte Krankheit geht. Schauen wir mal rein bei Sandra Maischberger, Anne Will, Maybrit Illner und ihren männlichen Kollegen. Achten wir nicht auf die Gastgeber, sondern auf die Gäste. Beobachten wir sie für ein paar Wochen. Die These: Wenn es um Politik geht, dann werden Frauen als Gesprächspartner - als Experten - nicht beachtet. Es gibt sie zu oft, die "Placebo-Frau", die eine, die eingeladen wird, damit es netter aussieht. Und es gibt sie zu oft, die Runden, in denen ausschließlich Männer sitzen. Das größte Problem daran: es gibt sie nicht, die Runden, in welchen nur Frauen sitzen und über politische, wirtschaftliche oder wissenschaftliche Themen sprechen. Es gibt sie nicht, die Runden, in denen nur ein Mann sitzt. Muss ich dazu sagen, dass es die Sache schlimmer macht, wenn diese Runden dann ausnahmsweise doch auftreten, wenn es um Kindergartenplätze, Brustkrebsvorsorge oder andere angebliche "Frauenthemen" geht? Ist es nicht absurd und schmerzhaft, dass wir glauben sollen, dass Männer zu solchen Themen - wie heute bei "Hart aber Fair" rund um die "Frauenquote" (siehe unten) - nichts zu sagen haben bzw. dass sie sich offensichtlich nicht damit auseinander setzen sollen?

Es gibt sie nicht, die "Frauenthemen" und auch nicht die Themen, von denen Frauen nicht so viel verstehen!! All diese Themen gehen uns als Gesellschaft an. Gleichberechtigt. Lasst sie uns gleichberechtigt besprechen! Sonst werden wir scheitern.

Liebe Männer, tut uns und euch den Gefallen und achtet auch darauf. Euch würde es auch ärgern, wenn es anders rum wäre. Zu Recht!

Fangen wir also an zu zählen. Denn in dieser Kategorie soll es um Fakten gehen. Und hoffen wir, dass sich die These nicht bestätigt.

A boy who asked a girl to repair his bike
Men who pay real respect for the way she drives
The professor who asked the boy to write about child custody
And the girl to write about war strategy

Look around and you will see those moments
Of real equality
The sad thing is that they still stand out
Anyway...Want to make us happy? Now you know how

Cause men do make me smile,
do make me happy and i welcome them into my life
as long as they are - and thats what we are
feminists. And yes, they are.

You do have the right to own too many shoes
You do have the right to shop all day long
You do have the right to think wrinkles are ugly
You do have the right to not eat what you like

But when you say "it is because i am a woman"
I do have the right to strongly disagree

Being allowed to vote doesnt make me say thank you
It makes me vote.
Being allowed to go to university doesnt make me say thank you
It makes me go to university
Being allowed to wear pants doesnt make me say thank you
It makes me wear pants.
Being allowed to work doesnt make me say thank you
It makes me work.
Being allowed to play ball doesnt make me say thank you
It makes me play ball.

Are you happy that i am allowed to do those things?
Do you feel like i should say thank you?
Do you feel like i should say i am sorry
since i voted more wisely than you did?
since i criticised those famous philosophers in a feminist way?
Since i dont wear the pants that make my ass look firm?
since i work harder than you ever thought i could?
Since i play ball not in a skirt. And since I dont cry when i fall but am getting up with my knees bleeding?
